But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.”
Dear Readers, Greetings. May God’s blessings, peace, joy, love and grace be ever upon you, my beautiful brothers and sisters. As always, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Being persecuted is part of being a Christian. Sadly, it is increasingly becoming part of being an American as well. Paul warned us in 2nd Timothy 3:12, “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” Once again, this site is under attack, my brothers and sisters. Once again, the attorney general of the State of Maine, as well as the D.O.C. [Department of Corrections] are trying to stop me from spreading the gospel and speaking about my Lord. Once again, they are trying to prevent myself and others from writing about our personal experiences and treatment. Once again, they are trying to bury the truth. The honest fact of the matter is, the State of Maine has a largely corrupt justice system. I would not say that it is entirely corrupt. However, corruption runs rampant within the police departments, courts, attorney general’s office, district attorney’s offices and even parts of the political factions. That’s the truth and they do not want you to know it. This situation is not only taking place in the State of Maine, but is nationwide. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth and they don’t – want – you – to – know – it. The “powers that be” are eroding the moral fabric of this country. They are making immorality the new norm. You see, by doing so, they in turn justify their own behavior. They are trying to create an over-medicated, fearful and complacent society. They want our minds to be malleable and pliant to their will, not God’s. That is the truth and they – don’t – want – you – to – know – it. If we are not careful, we will eventually lose all of our freedoms. Take a look around you, folks. I am not a kook. People are being jailed and fined for expressing their religious beliefs. They are ever encroaching and infringing on our constitutional rights. We are not supposed to be subject to our military occupying our own streets. They have found a way to circumvent that. We now have a militarized police force, largely comprised of ex-service members. Make no mistake about it, they are an occupying militarist force – they just wear different uniforms. I do have the utmost respect for all service members. I have no problems with them. I am grateful for their service, but it is wrong to militarize our police force. It’s oppressive and it perpetuates a system of mass incarceration. Did you know that some prisons are on the stock market? You can actually buy prison stocks. It’s a business. It is inhumane for this justice system to arrest the development of incarcerated men and women by denying us the right to publicly express ourselves. Let’s get down to brass tacks. There are factions within the justice system who do not want to lower recidivism rates. The justice system and the prison system have become quite profitable. If recidivism rates were significantly lowered, a lot of people would be out of jobs. They don’t want you to see us as human beings. They want to perpetuate a negative perception and stigma by painting all convicts as monsters. Who wants to hire a monster? Who wants to rent housing to a monster? They do the same thing in criminal cases. They want to be the only ones who give information to the media. Whether you are guilty or innocent, they paint you as a monster, which creates a prejudicial stigma and prevents you from receiving a fair trial. What jury is going to acquit someone whom they perceive to be a monster? They don’t want people on trial to be able to show themselves as human. They don’t want our side of the story to get out. That – is – the – truth – and – they – don’t – want – you – to – know – it. Through all of this, I maintain my faith in the Almighty God, as we all should. I am reminded of Psalm 7:1-2 “O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me, Lest they tear me like a lion, Rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver.” It is to God we must turn for salvation from our enemies. For it is only by the will of God that we shall overcome. They are trying to use the fact that I am a prisoner to condone silencing me and preventing me from spreading the gospel. I find it quite interesting that they decided to change rules to include the prohibition of blogs after the media reported the existence of this particular blog. They don’t want me to spread the gospel. I have tried to establish a bible study group here in solitary confinement. They have also denied me the right to do so. Make no mistake about it, folks. This is not only an attack on the freedom of speech; this is an all-out war on Christianity and freedom of religion. I am currently housed on what is known as the programs corridor. There is a screen mounted on the wall in my cell. They play Buddhist-based meditation and Hindu-based yoga containing eastern theological symbols and philosophies. Yet, they won’t allow me to meet with a small group [in chains] and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Shame on them. They have gone as far as to prevent my pastor from visiting myself and others for the next two weeks. I fear that they may try to ban him altogether. What they are doing is waging a war on God, freedom and human rights. This state has an un-elected attorney general who is so out of control that she even prevents the governor, who is an elected official, from doing his job. I have evidence of witness tampering, evidence tampering, perjury and other misdeeds in my case. I have been advised by my attorney not to disclose that information while my appeal is pending, but I promise you that information will eventually be made public. Perhaps that is part of the reason they wish to silence me. I am told that they may seek a court order to seize my outgoing mail and search it to prevent me from sending posts out. I am told they may begin writing me up for disciplinary infractions due to my writings and posts. I am told they may fine me $75 per infraction and take what little money my family sends me. Yet, I shall continue to write. I fear God far more than I fear them. God has charged me to spread the gospel. It says so in the good book and I intend to heed His command, come what may. I am supposed to be able to invoke my first amendment rights to do so. I shall not bow down to tyrants. Persecuting me is one thing, but persecuting Christianity is something else entirely. It is my duty as a believer in Christ to defend the gospel no matter the consequences. And, it is my duty as a citizen to stand up for and defend the constitution of the United States of America, no matter what they do to me. I am not currently breaking the law. It is they who are breaking it by not allowing myself and others to utilize our first amendment rights. It’s no wonder America is plummeting in ratings among the world powers. Our government is refusing to stand by its own founding principles, in many cases. Why should anyone look up to a hypocrite? Now, to be fair, it cannot be denied that prisoners who are allowed to express themselves publicly may have a negative impact on some victims. Those prisoners are blinded by a sinful need for vengeance. But, we must not let the passions of a few undermine the greater overall good. The fact of the matter is, it is more important to protect all of our constitutional rights. It is more important to lower recidivism rates through the rehabilitation and humane treatment of prisoners and to insure – as best as possible – their success for reintegration into society. This affects society as a whole, the needs of the many must outweigh the needs of the few in order for society to function properly. That – is – the – truth – and – they – don’t – want – you – to – know – it. All of you in the free world must also realize how dangerous it is to allow the justice system to trample on civil and constitutional rights. You see, if you allow them to do it to convicts – who are citizens no less – then, you open the door for them to do it to everyone. An attack on freedom anywhere is an attack on freedom everywhere. Today it is me. Tomorrow it will be you. That – is – the – truth – and – they – don’t – want – you – to – know – it. I shall do my best to keep writing. I fear they may transport me to some far off state and bury me there to keep me silent. I want you to know, my brothers and sisters, I love you and you shall remain in my prayers. I will keep you updated on my status when possible.
