REDEMPTION
Oh what a mighty, merciful GOD is he
to have saved a wicked and wretched sinner like me.
From the deepest, darkest, dirtiest pit
he rescued my soul and restored my wit.
I was lost and cold surrounded by the chill of the night
until my LORD warmed me with his LOVE and showered me with light.
He lifted me, and cradled me and gave me his alms.
He enlightened me with PROVERBS and soothed me with PSALMS.
He wiped away my transgressions and help me cast off my fear.
He comforted me when I was sad and with his hand he caught every tear.
Oh what a marvelous GOD is he
to have seen the potential and the goodness in a sinner like me.
