Patience

hourglassesDear Readers:
I would like to talk to you this week about patience.  Hope, faith and patience are intricately linked.  To be patient, you must have hope and faith.

Romans 12:12
“rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;”

Sometimes it is hard to be patient in the face of adversity or during tribulations.  I say this as a man who is currently facing great trials and tribulations.  Right now, I am fighting for a new trial.  The State is stalling my case by refusing to provide some evidence.  I believe they are doing so because it is election time. They don’t want the racism and corruption that took place during my trial to be exposed until after the President leaves Maine and the elections are over.  The system is so corrupt.  Sometimes it is so hard for me to be patient in here.  I am just one man fighting against a corrupt machine.  Worst of all, because I am not white or one of the “good ol’ boys”, sometimes I feel helpless in my struggle.  During those times, I pray even harder and read scripture.

Philippians 4:6  says “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;”

All things through prayer. We must have hope and faith at all times, especially when facing adversity and tribulations.  Without the Lord, I could never handle what I’m up against.  It is my faith that sustains me and it is my faith that shall get me through this.  We must believe and put our lives in God’s hands.  Have faith, pray for strength and patience and I promise you, God will see you through.  He may not always give us what we want, but He will always give us what we need.  But, we must have faith, hope and patience.  And, we must remember that no matter what we endure here in this world, we will reap our rewards in Heaven.  So, I say to you… “Be patient, have faith and trust in the Lord.

James 1:2-4  “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,  knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”

May God Bless and Keep You.
Love In Christ,
Randall
