Maintaining Your Faith

Philippians 4:8-9  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.  The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”

Dearly beloved: May GOD‘s love, joy, peace and wisdom be ever upon you.  A lot of Christians maintain their homes, cars, bank accounts and bills, but sometimes we forget to maintain our faith.  Faith is our most important asset.  It is faith which makes us whole and complete.  Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith.  Thus, we must stay in touch and in tune with Him.  Well, how do we do that?  By staying in the Bible as much as possible and praying as much as possible.  We all have times when we lose touch with our LORD.  I went through that myself recently.  I found myself studying less.  For 4+ years I have done my best to immerse myself in my faith through prayer, meditation and Bible studies.  This harsh environment has caused me to be discouraged.  I love discussing the bible with others, but for some reason, I have not been allowed to go to church.  I am in the midst of taking legal action to fight for my right to go to church.  The lack of conversation with fellow believers as well as the lack of interest in my housing unit has caused me great distress.  It has affected my life and my spirituality.  Even my posts on this site have been affected.  My mood, attitude and drive have all been affected.  My wonderful partners in CHRIST, Tom and Terry Shuford, were concerned and pointed this out to me.  It is nice to have fellow believers who love me enough to help me maintain my faith.  Thank you so much for them, LORD, and all of my loving supporters!  My friends are absolutely right.  I do need to work to maintain my faith.  We all do.  I am back to studying daily and meditating and I feel much, much better.

God puts people in our lives that are His tools to guide us and vice-versa.  We Christians are all interconnected.  We are all threads woven together in GOD’s Holy cloth.  As I sat pondering how much I needed to do a spiritual tuneup on myself, I could not help but think of all of you out there who are in need of the same.  All of my faithful readers have come to expect a certain quality of writing from me and I deeply apologize if I have at all let you down.  When I sit and think of it, this site is more than just a journal. It is the chronicle of a wonderful journey.  We are all on this journey together as GOD intended us to be.  All of you are taking this ride with me and we are part of each other’s story.  It is so beautiful when you think about it, isn’t it?  It is yet another reminder of how GOD flows through all of us.  To those of you who have written me letters of encouragement, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Your words and well wishes are precious to me beyond measure.  You can be sure that I will write each and every one of you back.  If you haven’t ever written me, then please do.  I want to hear from you.  Even if it is just to unload your burdens or ask for advice.  I love you all and I want to be there for you in any way that I can.  Any and all correspondence will be kept private and you can make up a fake name if you wish to be anonymous.  We can encourage one another and help each other maintain our faith.

If anyone reading this has not accepted JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and SAVIOR, now is the time.  I know you are hurting and in need of love and peace because I was once just like you.  I know you are searching for the true meaning of this seemingly chaotic experience that we call life.  I was and did the same.  If you are lost and ready to be found, please repeat the following prayer:
“Dear Jesus, I know that because of my sin I need Your forgiveness.  I believe that You died on the cross for my sins.  I believe You rose again so I could live with You.  I want to stop living for myself and start living for You.  I want Your peace in my life. I want forgiveness for my sins.  Please come into my heart and change my life.  I want to live with You forever.  I want You to be my Lord and Savior.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.”
If you said it and you meant it, then you are my brother or sister in CHRIST and I welcome you to the path of light, love and enlightenment – the only true path to a glorious eternal life.  Please write us.  We want to hear from you and guide you on your new journey.  I love all of you out there.  May GOD bless and keep you!  May you stay focused on Him!  May you work to maintain your faith!  Amen!

Philippians 4:19  “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Love In CHRIST,
Randall
