England: We Love You

Dearly Beloved: May God’s peace, prosperity, joy and love be ever upon you. We would like to send our deepest and sincerest condolences to the people of England and all those who are suffering world wide, especially all the young children who were hurt in Manchester. May God bless you all. How does one make sense of such senseless acts of violence? How do we forgive those who employ such savagery on the innocent? We are tempted to feel hopelessness and fear. Despair and sorrow seem so deep within us that we are like shipwrecked sailors floating in a vast ocean with no land in sight. It is during these times that we must seek God.

I would like to share with you some heartfelt words from Dr. Martin Luther King:
“Having to live under the threat of death every day, sometimes I feel discouraged. Having to take so much abuse and criticism, sometimes from my own people, sometimes I feel discouraged. Having to go to bed so often frustrated with the chilly winds of adversity about to stagger me, sometimes I feel discouraged and feel my work’s in vain.  But then the Holy Spirit revives my soul again.”  [click to read source]

Those beautiful and inspiring words have often helped me on some of my difficult days, of which there are many.  It is my faith in the Almighty God that has given me the strength to weather the hardships of my unlawful imprisonment.  Without that faith, I would surely succumb to the despair of incarceration.  By faith, we can survive any trial.  Love is the only answer to hate.  God is Love and Love is God.  Anger will not get you through your trials.  Hate will not either; nor sadness or pity.  Only Love can heal your pain.  Only Love can give you strength.  Only Love can mend your wounds.  Only Love can save . your . soul.  What is Love?  God is Love and Love is God.  Amen!  Hallelujah!  Thank you, Jesus!  We love you, England!  God Loves You!  People all over the world love you and we are all praying that God’s love, mercy and grace be upon you!  May God bless and keep you – jolly old England!  May the wicked among you come to repentance and cease the violence!  And, may God save the Queen!  Amen!

Matthew 14:24-32
“But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.  Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.  And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.  But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”  And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”  So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.  But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”  And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”  And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.”
