Return To The Lord

Randall Daluz - Extended HandLuke 15:29-32  So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.  But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’  “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.  It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’”

Dear Readers,  When I was a child, my mother brought me to church on Sundays.  I have fond memories of going to church back then.  I loved the singing and clapping.  We always attended multi-ethnic churches.  I loved seeing people of all colors worshiping Jesus together.  I accepted Jesus as my Lord many times back then.  I attended Sunday school and bible camp.  And, I do believe I loved Jesus as a child.  As I got older, time and circumstances led me away from church and eventually away from God.  The further I drifted away from God, the worse my life got.  I lost my faith and with it, my peace.  I suffered a lot in my twenties.  I lost a lot of people that I loved.  I blamed God.  I got so angry at Him that I refused to believe in Him.  I thought He wasn’t real and if He was, then He surely hated me and abandoned me, leaving me broken and forsaken.  I didn’t understand God.  I could not fathom Him at all.  I question whether or not my acceptance of the Lord as a child was real.  Sure, I believed at the time, but I ask myself, “How could I have drifted so far and sunk so low if I truly was saved?” (more…)

God Bless America!

Randall Daluz - One Nation Under GodGenesis 12:2-3  I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great;  And you shall be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Dear Readers, I love America so much.  Even though the system which governs her has thus far failed me and countless others; Even though I have been wrongfully accused and it was suggested during my trial that I was more likely to carry a firearm because of my color; Though I have been wrongfully convicted, mislabeled and misrepresented; And, though I am being mistreated by an unfair, unbalanced, racist and biased system which is seeking to rob me not only of my life and liberty, but even freedom to praise my Lord and speak about my experiences for fear that myself and others will expose tyranny… I still love my America.  For it is not America who has wronged me, but the corruption which has run afoul in this great nation.  Yea, though my country may be under the devil’s spell, I still believe she can one day be a godly nation once more.

I speak of my own experiences because I have lived them.  But, one need only turn on the news to see the evil that is polluting this country.  Recent events should leave you with no doubt that this nation is in need of a spiritual reawakening.  We are in need of God’s healing.  We the people have become complacent.  Many of us are so self-absorbed that we have not payed attention to the direction this country is going.  We forgot to be our brother’s keeper.  I have lost faith in this government, but not in God or this nation.  In the name of Jesus, I am asking my fellow Americans to stand up for what is right.  Let us strengthen our bonds and unite.  Let us fulfill the promise in the pledge of allegiance that we be “one Nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”  Amen!

May God bless and keep you!  May we unite to win back our country!  And, May God Bless America!
Love In Christ,
Randall

LOVE?

Randall Daluz - Love Question MarkI Corinthians 13:1-3  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Dear Readers,  God and Love are quintessential of one another. One cannot exist without the other for they are the same. What is God? God is Love. What is Love? Love is God. Once we understand love, we understand God and vice-versa. Many people have been fooled by their flesh and mistook lust for love. They end up getting spurned and become fearful of love. From then on, their hearts began to harden and they shut down. Many marriages fail today because people mistake the lust of the flesh for love. If you ask them why they got divorced, they’ll say “We grew apart. The love faded away.” Listen to me carefully. Real love never fades. It never dies. It does not go away. We may leave love, but love will never leave us. True love is God. God’s love is the glue that holds everything together. Without it, everything falls to pieces.

Randall Daluz - Just Find GodI never had a successful relationship. I never left a woman, but they always left me. I did not understand why until I got saved. I never knew what love was until God showed me. You see, I tried to love with expectations and that’s not real. Love is meant to be a gift. It is not supposed to cost anything. Love is free. When you attach strings to it, it’s no longer love. It becomes merely desire and desire fades. (more…)

A Time For Forgiveness: Thoughts On Charleston, SC Shooting

Matthew 5:43-48  You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.  For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?  And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Photo by Stephen E Norton; APDear Readers,  Three days ago, a man walked into a church full of Christians (who happened to be colored), sat there as the Word of God was preached for some time and then opened fire, killing nine Christian brothers and sisters and wounding several others.  As I am writing this, I am still stunned.  I am emotional.  I weep not for my fallen brothers and sisters in Christ.  I need not shed tears for them; for they are at home in peace and love with the Lord.  Hallelujah!  I weep for their families.  I weep for their friends.  I weep for everyone who has lost someone to senseless violence.  I also weep for my nation, my beautiful America.  I wonder, why she is so cruel at times?  Yet, even while I am in the midst of such madness and confusion, I still see hope.  I still see God’s light shining through the darkness.  Praise His name!  Thank you, Jesus!  When I picked up the paper today, I wept again.  But, this time they were tears of joy.   (more…)

Standing Up For Jesus

Mark 8:34-48  When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”Randall Daluz - The Good News

Dear Readers,  The last couple of days have been difficult to say the least.  An article discussing this site and the validity of my faith, came out on Saturday.  When the reporter contacted my lawyer to secure an interview with me, I was very hesitant at first.  I knew that people would doubt me and spew hate towards me.  In this world, there are more non-believers than believers.  It is no small feat to publicly claim Christ as your Lord and Savior, especially when you have been wrongfully convicted of triple murder and are looked at like a black boogie man.  As I do with every major decision I make, I prayed and asked the Lord for His guidance.  I do not feel worthy to represent Jesus. The Lord put it on my heart that I must.  Soon, the interview was scheduled.  The Lord put it on my heart not to practice what I would say.  He encouraged me to speak from my heart and trust that I would know what to say when the time came.  One of the first questions the reporter asked me was how I came to Christ.  I answered her honestly.  I explained to her the miracle that occurred when I was nearly murdered.  My statement included actions that the perpetrator of the crime took.  [You can read what I said in the article on BDN.com]  I don’t like to talk about those events, but I had to, briefly, for I had to explain what had sparked my faith in Jesus.  I was a man who needed to see before he believed.  What happened left me no doubt that God is real.  It was the first of many experiences where Jesus revealed Himself to me (or for the first time I realized it.) I Am Not Perfect, I Am Forgiven

Randall Daluz - Let Jesus Have The Final WordII Corinthians 4:5-6  For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Dear Readers,  It is not easy being a Christian, which is why it is such a narrow path to walk.  None of us are Jesus Christ, though some people expect us to be.  It’s like – all of a sudden, now that we’re saved, we’re expected to be perfect.  I am just a man.  I am not worthy of the Lord’s salvation, but He has given it to me never-the-less.  Praise You, Lord!  THANK YOU, JESUS!

Recently, I have had a couple of incidents where people have called the validity of my faith into question.  Boy, does it hurt when that happens.  It stings like vinegar on an open wound with salt on top.  Painful stuff.  Not long after my last post, “A Stress-Free Life“, I was put into a situation where I momentarily let stress get the best of me.  Now, I did employ the techniques that I wrote about and they did work like they almost always do.  None-the-less, I felt convicted.  The devil clouded my mind with doubt that night.  He made me feel like I let God and all the folks who look up to me down.  I tossed and turned on my pillow, feeling shame.  I wrote a letter of apology to the person I had a disagreement with that night.  My conscience would not rest until I did.  That person had made a comment to me stating, “I thought you were supposed to be a man of God.”  Man, that hurt.  When I was done with the letter, I fell to my knees and cried, “Lord, forgive me, for I have misrepresented You, my King.” and I prayed for His peace and strength.  The Lord spoke to my heart.   (more…)

Happy Father’s Day, GOD!

Randall Daluz - Happy Fathers DayJohn 10:29-30  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.  I and My Father are one.”

Dear Readers,  I pray for a happy and blessed Father’s Day for all the Dad’s out there.  As you celebrate this happy holiday, take a moment and thank the Greatest Father of all time, GOD.  It is not easy finding gifts for our earthly fathers.  It is even harder to find something for our Supreme Father.  What can you give a Father who truly has it all?  The only things God wants from us is love, respect and obedience.  When we give those to Him, it brings Him glory.  Aren’t those the greatest gifts that any child can give a father?  Those gifts are a small price to pay for God’s grace and blessings.  And, yet, most of us have a hard time with them, don’t we?  I know I do.  Our selfish and sinful nature hinder our ability to honor the Father.  We get so caught up in ourselves and our own desires that we forget where it is that all the good in our lives comes from.   (more…)

A Stress-Free Life

Randall Daluz - Keep Calm And Call On JesusMatthew 6:27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Dear Readers,  One of the devil’s most powerful and destructive tools is stress.  There are few things in this world which can harm you, age you, unsettle you and assault your mental and physical well being more than stress.  I am convinced that the leading cause of illness and death is stress.  Stress – like hate – is poison.  My current situation can be very stressful at times.  There are no vices in here to take the edge off.  One must learn to cope and combat stress naturally.  I have learned some techniques that I would like to share with you.

The first is prayer.  But, before you pray, it is best to calm yourself and clear your mind.  For me, the best way to do that is to simply breathe.  Sit down in a comfortable position.  Keep your body relaxed. (more…)

True Wealth

Randall Daluz - Proverbs 16:16Proverbs 13:7  There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing; And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.

Dear Readers,  Do you want to be wealthy?  Would you like to be admired for your wealth?  Sounds nice, doesn’t it?  If you answered “Yes” to any of those questions, you’re not alone.  We all want to be wealthy, don’t we?  I would like you to ask yourself something.  What does it mean to be truly wealthy?  You know, a lot of people already have wealth, but they are too blind to see it.  There are some people who believe they are wealthy, but they are lost, poor in spirit and lonely; For they know not the joy of Christ the King.  Now I am going to ask you again.  DO YOU WANT TO BE TRULY WEALTHY???  Shout “Amen!” if you do.  I’ve got awesome news for you, friends.  I can tell you a “foolproof” guaranteed plan to get really wealthy very quickly.  Yes, sir, I can.  It is not my plan, it is God’s plan.  But, I have been anointed and appointed to share it with you.  The plan is salvation, folks.  Salvation will bring you true wealth.  YES, SIR!!  Praise God!  Anyone can achieve salvation.  God’s wealth is free for all.   (more…)

THE POWER OF FAITH !

Randall Daluz - Faith Like A Mustard SeedMatthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

Dear Readers,  The most powerful thing in this universe is Almighty God!  Do you know what the second is?  FAITH!  [Say it with me now…] FAITH! Hallelujah!  FAITH is what you need to believe.  FAITH is what you need to succeed.  For it is by FAITH that God’s grace is achieved.  Are you with me?  Shout “Amen!”  The reason I have peace in my heart is because I am learning to live by FAITH!  Glory to God!  Without FAITH, I would be lost for sure.  Think about the people you know who are faithless.  They are sad and angry, aren’t they?  They live depressed lives.  There is no point to life for them.  To them, the glass is always half empty.  Sure, some of them seem happy, but you can tell by the shallow lives they lead that they are not.  People who think that things make you happy lack true faith.  I know because I used to be one of those people. A Selfless Life

Matthew 22:37-40  Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Randall Daluz Put God FirstI had a conversation with my cellmate, Paul, over breakfast this morning.  Paul has only recently begun his walk with Christ.  Everything is new to him.  I have introduced him to a pastor friend of mine.  He now visits Paul and studies with him.  As a new Christian, Paul has loads of questions.  I do my best to assist him and answer all of them.  If I don’t know the answer, then I work diligently to find it. [I have yet to be completely stumped.]  Today, Paul and I discussed being selfless.  Recently, Paul expressed his lack of understanding in regards to putting God first.  My pastor friend and I both explained to Paul that if he puts God first, everything else will fall into place.  Paul was an addict.  The very act of being an addict is selfish.  I know Paul to be a very caring and giving man, but drugs change people.   (more…)
